Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Laval, QC is seeking a Technician for the Sample Management-Shipping department. You will perform sample management activities and follow study plans to ensure accurate and timely shipments and documentation.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 37.5 hours/week, with potential overtime. Starting wage is $21.75 per hour, plus an annual performance bonus and benefits from day one including health and wellness programs.

• Experience following GLP study plans where applicable.
• Ability to prepare and verify shipment documentation.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

• Shipment packing/labeling/marking and tracking.

• Ensure work complies with study plans and GLP where applicable.
• Prepare sample shipments to other locations or disposition of samples; complete follow-ups.
• Receive, verify and store samples using internal systems and Watson LIMS.

Job Overview

As a Technician for our Sample Management-Shipping department at the Laval location, you will be performing sample management activities and following directives from the study plans.

In This Role, Primary Responsibilities Include

• Shipment Packing/Labeling/Marking and tracking;
• Fill appropriate documentation for shipment purposes;
• Ensure that work is performed in accordance with the requirements of a study plan and in full compliance with GLP, where these conditions apply;
• Perform the preparation of the sample shipments to other locations or disposition of the samples, as well as all follow-ups attached to these tasks;
• Perform reception, verification and storage of samples using the internal manual system and/or the Watson LIMS system.

Role Specific Information

• Location: Laval: 445 Boul. Armand-Frappier, Laval, QC, H7V 4B3;
• Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway. Electric vehicle charging station;
• Salary: $21.75/hr;
• Annual bonus based on performance;
• Schedule: Weekday schedule, Monday to Friday. Depending on the needs, you may have to do overtime;
• Permanent position as of the hiring, full time 37.5hrs per week.
