Job summary

Charles River Laval is seeking a Technician for our Formulation team to prepare drug formulations that will be administered to animals under study. You will work in a collaborative environment with fellow scientists and technicians to ensure precise preparation and handling of materials.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and compliance with lab procedures. No prior science experience is required, with AEC/DEC in Biotechnology considered an asset, and a strong willingness to learn.

Qualifications

  • AEC or DEC in Biotechnology is an asset;

Job Overview

As a Technician for our Formulation team at the Laval location, you prepare drug formulation that will be administered to animals under study.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:
  • Perform reception, verification and storage of Test items, chemicals, and products;
  • Use, calibrate and maintain various laboratory equipment.
We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:
  • No experience in Science and/or Laboratory is required;
  • AEC or DEC in Biotechnology is an asset;
  • Team player with a collaborative and positive approach;
  • Strong observation & organizational skills;
  • Open-minded and willing to learn in a laboratory environment.
Role Specific Information:
  • Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway. Electric vehicle charging station;
  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime. You will also have to do weekend rotation (1/4). Depending on the business needs, you may have to do overtime;
  • Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.

About Safety Assessment

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance.
