Job summary

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group is seeking a Technician – Payroll in Montreal for a permanent hybrid role in Finance and Accounting. You will manage Canadian, US and international payroll for multiple locations, validate and run payroll reports while addressing employee inquiries.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of payroll experience, a college diploma in accounting, strong Excel skills, and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in payroll processing.
• College-level diploma in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• CPA certification is an asset.
• Experience with US payroll is an asset.
• Fluent in French and English with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Process Canadian, US and International payroll for various locations.
• Validate payroll before transmission and upon receipt for each pay period.
• Run payroll-related reports and respond to payroll inquiries.
• Handle year-end processes for Canada, the United States, and other countries.

As an ambassador of the Payroll service, you will …

You will be known for:

• Process Canadian, US and International payroll for various locations assigned to you;
• Validate the payroll (before transmission and upon receipt) for each pay period;
• Run various payroll-related reports;
• Handle pay-related employee inquiries for the locations whose payroll you process;
• Process yearend for Canada and the United States, as well as other countries.

We want to meet you if you have:

• Minimum five years' experience in payroll processing;
• College-level diploma in accounting;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel;
• CPA certification an asset;
• Experience with a US payroll an asset;
• A great fluency in French and English and works with minimal supervision
