Valero Energy Inc. in Montreal East is seeking a skilled Technician Operations – Level 5 to oversee receiving, transferring and shipping of petroleum products.

You will prepare maintenance work, verify site equipment and monitor marine operations, ensuring safety and energy conservation. The role requires a college diploma in chemical or industrial process techniques, experience in a technical position, twelve-hour rotating shifts and strong attention to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• College diploma in chemical or industrial process techniques required.
• Experience in a technical position (mechanics, welding, instrumentation, electricity, etc.).
• Available to work on twelve (12) hour rotating shifts.
• Ability to manage emergencies and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Receive, transfer and ship petroleum products as part of operational phases.
• Prepare maintenance work related to equipment and verify equipment on-site and off-site.
• Monitor marine operations and ensure proper drainage of surface water.
• Witness manual dips performed by external parties and take product samples per procedures.
• Ensure safety and environmental rules are followed and maximize energy conservation.

Responsabilities

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Operations attendant is responsible for operational phases required for receiving, transferring and shipping petroleum products. You will prepare maintenance work related equipment and will visually verify equipment located on the terminal site as well as off-site equipment. You will perform marine operations monitoring and ensure proper drainage of surface water. In addition, you will witness manual dips performed by external parties and will take product samples in accordance with procedures. You will also make sure that safety and environment protection rules are complied with and will maximize energy conservation

Qualifications

• College diploma in chemical or industrial process techniques;
• Experience in a technical position (mechanics, welding, instrumentation, electricity, etc.);
• Available to work on twelve (12) hour rotating shifts
• Ability to manage emergencies and priorities

• *Functional knowledge of the English language (asset)

The work schedule for this position corresponds to Schedule B of the collective agreement
