Industrial Mechanical Technician (Millwright)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our global field services team. This role involves on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of systems and equipment, primarily within Canada. Responsibilities include performing preventive and remedial maintenance, managing maintenance facilities, and supporting engineering activities to ensure optimal operation of energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site repairs, inspections, and life extension activities, including machining, NDT, welding, and diagnostics.
• Work with hydraulic tools, control fixtures, disassemble and reassemble machinery, and handle rigging and lifting.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Possibly certified or in process of certification as an apprentice industrial mechanic (millwright).

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or related education plus 4+ years of millwright experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Baker Hughes or similar equipment, including site operation and commissioning.
• Knowledge of turbine generators, compressors, and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work under pressure, be decisive, and a team player.
• Willingness to work 60-70% of the time on field outages, including offshore and onshore projects across the Americas.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in manufacturing environments.
