Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Technician II Structured Cabling to support installation, maintenance, and service of structured cabling for Data, AV, and CCTV projects. This role requires 3–5 years of cabling experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job description

As a Technician II Structured Cabling with Bosch Building Technologies, you will be a key contributor to the installation, maintenance, and support of structured cabling systems for our clients. Your technical expertise and attention to detail ensure the delivery of reliable, high‑quality infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual andCCTV;includespre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing and reporting per specifications and drawings.
• Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms.
• Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally.
• Adhere to Bosch Building Technology's Quality and Safety programs.
• Complete detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results.
• You may be required to work “night shifts” when needed based on project/service requirements
• Consistently provide high levels of customer service.
• Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of experience in structured cabling installation & servicing
• Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions.
• Experience pulling, terminating and testing cat5/6 and fiber optic cables
• Experience installing other cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets,etc)
• Experience installing other low voltage systems (CCTV, access control, AV, wireless, unified communication, nurse call, RTLS)
• Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices.
• Comfortable working at heights and must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent is considered an asset
• Relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI, CFOT, Specific Manufacturer training) are a plus

Salary Range: $26.00 – $32.00ph (DOE)

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)

WORKING CONDITIONS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.
