Job summary

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto seeks a qualified Sterile Processing Technician to prepare surgical case carts for routine and emergency procedures. You will operate decontamination and sterilization equipment, package sterile instrumentation, and ensure quality indicators are met.

The role requires an approved Sterile Supply Processing Certificate, instrumentation experience, and prior Tech 2 MDRC work.

Qualifications

• Approved Sterile Supply Processing Certificate required
• Instrumentation experience essential
• Previous Tech 2 experience in MDRC is essential
• Applicants with previous Tech 2 experience in MDRC will be given priority
• Broad knowledge of all surgical services and complex instrumentation
• O.R. technical experience preferred
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to function as a team member as well as independently
• Ability to work and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in case cart preparation
• Competent computer skills
