Job summary

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to prepare surgical case carts for regular and emergency cases, operate decontamination and sterilization equipment, and deliver supplies. The role requires a Sterile Supply Processing Certificate and instrumentation/OR experience, with priority for candidates with Tech 2 MDRC background.

Qualifications

• Approved Sterile Supply Processing Certificate required.
• Instrumentation experience essential.
• Previous Tech 2 experience in MDRC is essential.
• Applicants with previous Tech 2 experience in MDRC will be given priority.
• Broad knowledge of all surgical services and complex instrumentation.
• O.R. technical experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to function as a team member as well as independently.
• Ability to work and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in case cart preparation.
• Competent computer skills.
