Job Summary

Technician – Formulations

As a Technician for our Formulations team in Sherbrooke, you will be responsible for preparing all the dosing substances in different concentrations and ensuring the timely delivery of these doses for administration.

In This Role, Key Responsibilities Include

• Preparing formulations for dosing in solution, suspension, capsule, or powder form according to study plans, and handling samples under a Fume Hood using aseptic techniques.
• Executing technical activities as per procedures and study plans while respecting Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Checking the availability and preparing all required components for laboratory activities (literature, samples, solutions, materials, equipment, etc.).

Key Qualifications

If you possess the following qualifications, we will train you in the rest:

• A self-starter with a collaborative and positive attitude.
• Ability to work physically (lift up to 10 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.).
• Understanding of written English.
• DEC in Science, Pharmaceutical Process Control, or Biopharmaceutical Production Technology; or an AEC in Biopharmaceutical Production. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Role Specific Information

• Location: 1580 Rue Ida-Métivier, Sherbrooke, Qc, J1E 0B5.
• Transportation: Accessible via public transit, with free parking and an electric vehicle charging station.
• Pay: Starting at $23.00/hr, with opportunities for higher pay based on research experience.
• Schedule: Full-time, permanent (37.5 hours/week), with potential overtime and weekend work (additional $2.75/hr).
