Job summary

Canad Inns in Winnipeg, Manitoba is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms and facilities in top condition. You will perform repairs on appliances, plumbing and electrical systems, and handle painting and fixture maintenance to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests.

Applicants must have prior maintenance experience, be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and be capable of working at heights up to 10 feet and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician required.
• HVAC experience required.
• Proficiency in basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Ability to patch, repair, and paint walls.
• Able to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Keep hotel rooms in operating condition through repairs.
• Repair appliances and plumbing/electrical systems as needed.
• Maintain appearance by replacing mirrors, hanging fixtures, painting.
• Maintain heating/ventilation/air conditioning systems and perform preventative maintenance.
• Repair furniture, carpet, marble, tile, windows, mirrors and decorations as required.
• All other duties as required.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
• Repairs all appliances and damaged bathroom fixtures; executes general plumbing as needed.
• Maintains overall appearance of rooms; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, painting, etc.
• Repairs and maintains room's heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems
• Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary.
• All other duties as required.

Availability: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

• Prior work experience as a Maintenance Technician is required.
• Experience with HVAC systems and minor plumbing and electrical repairs is required.
• Ability to patch, repair, and paint walls is required.
• Must be able to work at heights of 10 feet.
• Must be physically fit and able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
