The Clinical Services Program seeks a part-time, temporary (6 months) Technician 4 (Dental Assistant Level II) at the Queen Street Site. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, you will collaborate with the Dental Clinic team to provide patient-centered oral health care to inpatients and outpatients receiving mental health and addiction treatment. Responsibilities include preparing for dental procedures, providing chair-side assistance, processing instruments, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and handling billing. You will support a workplace that values diversity, teamwork, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications include a post-secondary technical training in dental assisting, HARP certification, three years of experience, and membership in good standing with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association. Experience with patients with substance use or mental health issues is preferred. Proficiency with electronic dental records and x-ray programs is required. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
