Job summary

Superior SANY Solutions in Anjou, a division of Imperial Brady Canada, is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on cleaning equipment. You will travel within the territory, service machines, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

We value bilingual communication (English & French), strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently or with a team in diverse environments such as factories and warehouses. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English & French) communication with head office, vendors and suppliers.
• Secondary education completed or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 3-5 years of technical experience in mobile equipment environment preferred.
• Knowledge of material, labour costs and inventory management.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills.
• Experience repairing cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, extractors and related machinery is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Address customer needs with high level of service and timeliness.
• Handle high call volumes and promptly solve problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and break-down calls with attention to detail.
• Train operators when required by clients.
• Maintain clean, organized service vehicle and track inventory.
• Carry out tasks assigned by service coordinator and other duties to meet business goals.
• Work independently or as part of a team and adapt to different environments (factories, warehouses, retail).
• Travel up to 80% of the time and be prepared for overnight travel occasionally.

The Field Service Technician is required for a busy, cleaning equipment repair company and will be responsible for carrying out all equipment repairs and implementing efficient preventative maintenance to all machines required by the company to ensure excellent quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Be available to address customer needs and concerns in a timely manner with a high level of customer service.
• Ability to deal with a high level of call volume and promptly solve problems as they arise.
• Perform preventive maintenance as well as break failure calls with a high level of detail.
• Perform training to operators when required or as required by clients.
• Keep a clean and organized service vehicle. Able to keep track and monitor inventory levels within service vehicle.
• Perform all assigned tasks as provided by the service coordinator.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to meet business goals.
• The ability to work unsupervised, independently as well as part of a team.
• Follow all customer requests and able to work in different environments – for example factories, warehouses, retail, and various other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuum cleaners, extractors, floor machines and various other pieces of equipment is considered an asset.
• Sound knowledge of the cleaning industry is considered an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams and use of electrical testing meters.

Working/Other Conditions

• Travel up to 80% of the time. Willing to travel frequently within the designated territory as well as outside the designated territory as needed. Some outside provincial and overnight travel may be required from time to time.
• Long periods of driving required.
