Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Technician for a top equipment rental and services client in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This individual will travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, service, and repair equipment in the field.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on mechanical experience in automotive, heavy-duty equipment, diesel engines, or mobile equipment.
• Background in automotive mechanics, truck/trailer repair, or related fields.
• Able to pass criminal background screening.
• Willing to travel to customer locations and participate in on-call rotations.
• Comfortable with occasional after-hours service calls.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot, service, and repair equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical/technical issues in the field.
• Join a team of technicians and participate in a paid on-call rotation.
• Work approximately 45 hours per week with overtime opportunities.
• Utilize a company-provided vehicle, phone, laptop, and select tools.
• Participate in company-paid technical training.

Day-to-Day:

• Work as a traveling/mobile technician servicing and repairing equipment
• Join a team of 4 technicians
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical/technical issues in the field
• Participate in a paid on-call rotation
• Approximately 1 out of every 3 weekends on call
• Handle occasional after-hours service calls
• Work approximately 45 hours per week with unlimited overtime opportunities
• Utilize a company-provided vehicle, phone, laptop, and select tools
• Participate in company-paid technical training
