Source Atlantic Limited is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial equipment at customer sites in Truro, NS. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer service while working both independently and with internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background, experience with electrical testing, and familiarity with pumps, motors, gearboxes, and compressors.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background via education or experience in service, start-up, or troubleshooting of generators/compressors is an asset.
• Experience using electrical test equipment and instruments for basic to advanced testing is an asset; training can be provided.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors or similar machinery is an asset.
• Ability to work independently in a field environment and collaborate with customers and team members.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose equipment issues and propose solutions.
• Strong interest in learning new technical skills and taking on hands-on challenges.
• Good attention to detail and focus on completing work accurately and efficiently.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Summary:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial and electro-mechanical equipment at customer sites. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively with customers and internal teams, providing technical support while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and service excellence.

As a representative of the company, the Field Service Technician is expected to conduct themselves professionally at all customer sites, demonstrating strong communication skills, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach.
