Title: Technical Writer - Senior
Location: Toronto, Ontario M3M 0B4 (Hybrid)
Duration: 87+250 days
Must Have:
- Experience working in the field of occupational health and safety, with a sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations, and other relevant regulations and standards, e.g., Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in order to explain complex technical information in clear language.
- Strong experience with MS Office and MS SharePoint.
- Certification or degree in OHS or related education and experience.
Deliverables & Skillset – Technical Writer
- Health & Safety consultant with experience in content writing and research.
- Previous experience as a technical writer with health and safety associations/boards/etc.
- Previous experience writing procedural documents, policies, and/or communication content.
- Previous experience developing comprehensive HIPAA compliance documentation.
- Working knowledge of OHSA, OHS, and WSIB.
- Researching experience: marketing strategy, health & safety concepts, data analytics, etc.
- Working in an agile environment.
- Nice to have: Joint Health & Safety Committee Certified.
- Nice to have: Previous experience delivering health & safety training.

Business Subject Matter Knowledge and Expertise - 25%
- Experience working in the field of occupational health and safety, with a sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations, and other relevant regulations and standards, e.g., Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code.
