Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
2. At least 4 years of experience creating content for technical audiences (e.g., developer documentation, Computer Science course material, or IT administration playbooks).

Preferred qualifications:

1. 5 years of experience researching and writing documentation for developers (e.g., APIs, SDKs, web technologies, cloud services, hardware).
2. Experience with processor architectures.
3. Proficiency in HTML and version-control tools such as Perforce or Git.
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

About the job

Technical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as part of the engineering or user experience. This content may include documentation, UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational materials. Technical writers excel at explaining complex topics in a way that benefits their audience.

Responsibilities

1. Write technical documentation for external developers, such as API references and developer guides hosted on cloud.
2. Design and organize documentation sets for new APIs and developer products.
3. Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and coach non-writers to improve their writing skills.
4. Enhance developer documentation for Cloud APIs and products with relevant sample codes.
5. Collaborate with a global team of engineers, product teams, content strategists, and other technical writers.
