Job Title: Technical Support - Baggage Applications

Location: Toronto, ON

Mode: Fulltime

Job Summary:

Resolve and troubleshoot issues related to Baggage Applications used in airports.

Key Responsibilities:

A Baggage IT Operations team member supports baggage-related applications at an airport, ensuring the smooth handling and tracking of luggage. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting baggage-related applications and systems.
  • Monitoring baggage handling systems (BHS) for proper functioning.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for software used in luggage management.
  • Managing data related to baggage handling to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinating with airlines, ground staff, and other departments.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for procedures and troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring compliance with aviation safety regulations.
  • Responding to incidents like lost or mishandled luggage and implementing corrective actions.
  • Participating in system upgrades and evaluating improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience in airport or aviation operations related to baggage applications.
  • Valid driver's license (preferred).
  • Ability to complete Transport Canada clearance.
  • Willingness to work rotational continental shifts.
  • Experience supporting airport IT systems is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work on automation initiatives and system enhancements.
  • Understanding system architectures and handling disaster recovery drills.
  • Providing 24/7 operational support including holidays and weekends.
