Job summary

A leading bank in the Americas is seeking an IT Asset Management professional to manage hardware assets and improve ITAM processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in IT Asset Management and be proficient in Service Now, Power BI, and Excel. Scotiabank’s Global Technology Services (GTS) Service Assets & Configuration Management department is responsible for the management of the Bank’s hardware IT assets throughout their lifecycle from acquisition to retirement. We are also responsible for the creation of standard IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and oversight for adherence to the processes from our global partners.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in the management of the Bank’s hardware IT assets. This role is primarily focused on hardware currency which includes maintaining the hardware model database, ensuring models records are complete, accurate and normalized. You will also be responsible for tracking and reporting on assets with aged or end of life models and liaising with stakeholders to initiate the refresh activities.

  • You are interested in ITAM processes and can identify opportunities to automate and improve model management processes and workflows.
  • You are knowledgeable of the various hardware models and can ensure that the models are fully normalized with accurate end of life information.
  • You can create reports, dashboards and metrics to provide stakeholders with actionable insights on hardware currency status and compliance.
  • You can perform detailed analysis of model records to identify and resolve duplicates, missing information, and other data inconsistencies.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
  • You have strong communication (verbal/written) and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
  • You have at least 2+ years of hands‑on working experience in an IT Asset Management role.
  • You have at least 2+ years of hands‑on working experience with the use of the Asset and Reporting modules within Service Now.
  • You have at least 2+ years of working experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
  • You have at least 2+ years of hands‑on working experience with using Power BI and Microsoft Excel for data modelling, advanced formulas, power queries and building interactive dashboards.
  • You possess problem solving, analytical and excellent attention to detail skills.
  • Post secondary education in Computer Science or related field.
  • You are certified in ITIL Foundation v4.
  • Completion of ITAM certificates (CHAMP, CHAM) are an asset.
