Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada seeks a senior Site Lead/Shift Lead to manage a nuclear project scope in Mississauga. You will ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost compliance while coordinating with engineering, HSE, quality and subcontractors.

Requires 10+ years in nuclear project leadership and strong people management. Diploma in engineering technology is preferred; RAM-T shipping and loading practices experience are assets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience supporting various type of projects including construction, manufacturing or engineering services projects.
• 5 - 8 years' experience leading individuals and teams is an asset.
• Must have experience working in a nuclear environment and knowledge of personnel management for multidisciplinary work in radiological environments.
• Experience with AtkinsRéalis RAM-T shipping process is an asset.
• Experience with Load Securement Practices for RAM shipping of complex nuclear service tooling is an asset.

Your role

• Responsible for assigned scope of the project and accountable for performing duties that facilitate work progressing with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual requirements.
• Liaise with key stakeholders as required generally including engineering, HSE, RP, HP, quality, and subcontractors.
• Maintain a positive relationship with project counterparts.
• Responsible for helping implement the project schedule activities.
• Coordinates the preparation and delivery of project deliverables.
• Fulfills requirements of 'Site Lead' or 'Shift Lead'.
• May be required to assist with resourcing/staffing, training, onboarding and daily management of a multidisciplined team of personnel to perform short-term scopes of work.
• Ensure work is performed within quality program requirements.
• Ensure a strong nuclear safety culture is reinforced continuously.

About you

• Diploma in Engineering Technology or Construction Technology or equivalent is an asset; otherwise experience as a senior tradesman, including roles as foreman, general foreman and/or superintendent may be considered an asset.
• Qualifications with lifting, rigging and material handling is an asset.
• 10+ years' experience supporting various type of projects including construction, manufacturing or engineering services projects.
• 5 - 8 years' experience leading individuals and teams is an asset. Can build a team and can inspire them to perform and work together towards a common goal.
• Must have experience working in a nuclear environment. Candidate will need to demonstrate knowledge of personnel management for multidisciplined work in radiological work environments, including dose management and planning work for ALARA principals.
• Experience with AtkinsRéalis RAM-T shipping process is an asset
• Experience with Load Securement Practices as related to both clean and RAM shipping of complex nuclear service tooling is an asset
• Knowledge and experience with the related tool sets for the work described above will be considered an asset
• Understanding of nuclear supply chain and materials management principles.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety.
• Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Demonstrate ability to manage nuclear project activities, both with respect to the planning/proactive requirements and for the active daily management tasks.
• An appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industry.
• Lead by example and set high standards for Health & Safety and Nuclear Safety Culture.
• Excellent organizational, communication and customer relationship skills.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
