Job Overview:

Responsible for executing new products and equipment from concept to commercialization, including product and process improvements to enhance overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead commercialization of new products through plant trial validations.
• Coordinate trial schedules and product requirements.
• Record trial observations and critical parameters for consistent product quality.
• Assist production in troubleshooting product-related issues, recommend solutions, and update documentation.
• Ensure quality and specifications compliance for new product launches.
• Coordinate changes in product information or processes and update relevant documents.
• Provide technical expertise and oversight.
• Guide PD and operations on processes and troubleshooting.
• Assist engineers with testing products using new processes and equipment.
• Lead continuous improvement projects.
• Manage raw material substitution and process improvement initiatives.

The Recipe for Success:

• Completion of a college diploma in Food Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance specialist, Product Developer, Baker, or Pastry Chef.
• Experience in the Food Manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, GFSI standards (BRC, SQF), and Food Allergens.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Understanding of bakery ingredients, production processes, and equipment capabilities.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow up.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
