Job summary

Join a leading company in the construction materials industry as a Field Technical Services Representative - Student. You will assist in managing product quality, visiting job sites, and promoting our products. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality control and customer service while contributing to projects that support Southern Ontario's growing infrastructure demands.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid G2 or G class license.
  • Construction field experience would be an asset.
  • Must have a clean driver's abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Visits job sites and performs concrete and raw materials testing.
  • Promotes value-added products and collects market information.
  • Supervises and plans for efficient use of materials and equipment.

Skills

Fundamental knowledge of computer software

The Field Technical Services Representative – Student assists in managing product quality while promoting products, concrete knowledge, and Company image to customers. Solicits, serves, and nurtures clients. Assists in continuous improvement and maintaining our Internal Quality System.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Visits job sites, performs ongoing CSA & ASTM concrete and raw materials testing. Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
  • Promotes value-added products, collects market and job information.
  • Supervises and plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees.
  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or productions standards or procedures.
  • Reviews and supervises the work of 3rd party Concrete Testing Services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering Technician (CET) program, or similar program
  • Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to perform physical tasks outside
  • Construction field experience would be an asset
  • Valid G2 or G class license and ability to drive
  • Must have a clean drivers Abstract
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
