Job summary

Denison Mines is seeking a Technical Services Coordinator to provide on-site direction for technical and operational field programs in Canada. The role involves coordinating contractors, interpreting subsurface data, and supporting environmental assessment processes at the Phoenix deposit.

Requirements include a BSc in Geology or related field, 3–5 years mining experience (uranium experience preferred), and proficiency with Leapfrog, GEMS, Surpac, and Vulcan.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mine Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in mining; Athabasca Basin uranium experience is an asset.
• Experience in solution mining and hydrogeology is an asset.
• Proficient in Leapfrog, GEMS, Surpac, and Vulcan for 3D modelling.
• Strong understanding of unconformity-related uranium deposits.
• Commitment to Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interact with staff, contractors and vendors at all levels.

Job description

The Technical Services Coordinator will provide on-site direction and coordination for technical and operational field programs, including the collection of information to support technical and economic studies, detailed engineering, and environmental assessment processes. The Technical Services Coordinator will oversee contractors involved in testing, construction, and installation activities and support the Technical Services team with the interpretation, understanding, and modelling of subsurface aspects related to an ISR operation. This position will report to the Technical Services Manager.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and coordinate on-site activities associated with various development programs.
• Assist in interpreting the geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrogeological and metallurgical data collected for the project.
• Create and ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures for all on site activities amongst project staff.
• Assist in the interpretation and modelling of the geological and hydrogeological results for the Phoenix deposit.
• Coordinate the on-site work of external groups including consultants and contractors.
• Support the collection of Project environmental baseline data on an as needed basis.
• Act as direct supervisor for site employees as required.
• Complete studies and collect data required to support the planning and development of on-site infrastructure.
• Prepare written progress reports as required

You have strong technical skills and experience across the mining life cycle, with direct experience in exploration and development and knowledge of drilling operations. You are a well-rounded, organized professional with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You are a critical thinker who can evaluate and resolve complex problems. In addition, you have:

• BSc. degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mine Engineering or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in mining, with experience in Athabasca Basin uranium exploration, development, or mining operations considered an asset.
• Previous experience in solution mining, and hydrogeological experience, are considered assets.
• Skilled in relevant 3D modelling software (Leapfrog, GEMS, Surpac, Vulcan).
• Strong concepts and geological understanding of unconformity related uranium deposits.
• A commitment to Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interact successfully with all levels of staff, contractors, and vendors.
