Akamai Technologies is seeking a Technical Program Manager II to lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Management, Network Operations, Sales, Services, and Support, aligning them to the product roadmap and delivering high-impact cloud solutions. You will analyze risks, manage dependencies, and communicate status to senior leaders while maintaining a clear calendar roadmap.

Success requires 5 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with JIRA and Confluence.

Technical Program Managers are key contributors to Akamai's success. You will be responsible for leading projects and developing processes that enable us to measure and improve performance resulting in improved customer satisfaction.

As a Technical Program Manager II, you will be responsible for:

• Leading cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, Network Operations, Sales, Services, and Support to support the product roadmap
• Analyzing risks and developing contingency plans
• Identifying and communicating backlog of work with key stakeholders, guiding them in priorities based on business needs
• Communicating program status and expectation changes to senior leaders with appropriate frequency, using standardized methods
• Maintaining and iterating on a roadmap of committed work through the current calendar

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree
• Demonstrate experience working with JIRA and Confluence
• Possess experience in Identifying and managing project dependencies while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestones
• Have experience working with Internet technologies or protocols such as DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP
• Be able to analyze workload and communicate technical issues to senior stakeholders of varying technical ability
• Have good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills needed to work across global constituencies

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from 92,900 - 167,100 CAD/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
