Job summary

Curtiss-Wright is seeking a Technical Product Specialist onsite in Ottawa to support the C5ISR Modular Solutions team. You will own the sales/customer demo/loaner equipment pool and coordinate demo assets across hardware and software.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in defense/aerospace, strong Linux and embedded systems experience, and proven ability to create customer documentation and technical presentations; you will partner with sales, engineering and product management.

Qualifications

  • Relevant hardware and/or software engineering degree, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 4+ years work experience in defense, aerospace, or mission critical systems.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create customer documentation and technical presentations.
  • Expert working knowledge of Linux.
  • Strong experience with embedded systems and board support package environments.
  • Strong hands-on hardware skills with VPX hardware and associated usability/integration.
  • Experience with board bring-up, system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with networking, embedded software deployment and system testing.
  • Experience with RTOS environments such as VxWorks.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the C5ISR sales/customer demo/loaner equipment pool.
  • Track, configure, maintain and refresh demo hardware and software assets.
  • Coordinate shipping returns, inventory, and lifecycle management of demonstration systems.
  • Design, assemble, and configure customer demonstration systems.
  • Perform board-level hardware integration and system bring-up.
  • Install and configure operating systems, middleware and applications software.
  • Validate readiness and reliability of demo platforms for customer engagements.
  • Support technical sales pursuits through preparation of customized demos.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on product showcases, trade shows, and customer presentations.
  • Create technical presentations and supporting customer-facing documentation.
  • Conduct technical evaluations, benchmarking, and performance testing.
  • Document findings and provide recommendations for product improvements.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues.
  • Coordinate technical activities with third‑party partners.
  • Work closely with product management, engineering, business development and marketing teams.
  • Provide technical feedback from customer interactions to product teams.

Technical Product Specialist - Onsite Curtiss-Wright is a world leader in supplying rugged electronics to the aerospace and defense industries. As an integral member of our Product Management team, you will contribute to the overall success of the entire C5ISR product portfolio.

Location: Ottawa, ON Salary: $82,100 - $109,500 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge
