Manulife Global Wealth & Asset Management is seeking a Technical Platform Engineering Lead to join our platform engineering team. This role involves guiding agile processes, fostering continuous improvement, and developing scalable, efficient platforms that support our products and services.

Position Overview

As a Technical Platform Engineering Lead, you will lead our platform engineering team in agile practices, cloud services, infrastructure-as-code, and automation tools for CI/CD. Your role is crucial in supporting the deployment and operation of our Kubernetes and API platforms globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Scrum ceremonies and promote agile principles.
• Mentor team members in Agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Identify and resolve impediments to team progress.
• Facilitate communication between development teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on team performance metrics.
• Advocate for Agile practices organization-wide.
• Drive technical migrations, including containerization and automation for platform modernization.
• Provide technical guidance in software development, cloud infrastructure, and automation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Experience with technical migrations and platform solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and API platform architecture.
• Proficiency with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, PowerBI.
• Advanced Agile certifications are a plus.

Additional Information

This role reports to the AVP, Platform Engineering, and offers a hybrid work arrangement in Toronto, Ontario, with a salary range of $110,530 - $205,270 CAD. We offer competitive benefits, professional growth opportunities, and a values-driven culture.
