Candu Energy Inc. offers nuclear power reactors, products, and services worldwide. The role is based in Mississauga, Ontario.

Reporting to the Candu Field Services Technical Director, the Technical Manager-Reactor Maintenance will support reactor maintenance projects, oversee project teams and tooling systems, and lead technical strategies for reactor maintenance programs.

Your Role Within The Team

Technical management

• Interface with clients to deliver engineering products per specifications.
• Define technical approaches to meet project requirements.
• Manage design processes and configurations.
• Ensure final deliverables meet customer and regulatory standards.
• Approve technical documents.
• Address barriers impacting project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with engineering and QA procedures.
• Review design work for adequacy and compliance.

Resource management

• Build team environments and foster team development.
• Forecast resource needs and structure teams accordingly.
• Maintain training and qualification records.
• Recruit, discipline, and mentor staff.
• Balance resources across projects.
• Set performance expectations and provide feedback.
• Plan and execute work within quality, cost, and schedule constraints.

The Ideal Candidate

• Professional Engineering License in Ontario.
• University degree in engineering or science.
• 8+ years nuclear experience, including leadership.
• Knowledge of QA programs, tooling design, inspection, and remote operation.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects.
• Leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Experience in Canadian licensed nuclear facilities.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites.
