Job summary

Hunter Amenities is recruiting a machine operator to join our Burlington, Ontario production team. The night shift runs from 11:00pm to 7:15am, with responsibilities for setting up machines, calibrating speeds, and maintaining equipment to ensure safe, quality output.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of machine operating experience, a high school diploma (technical degree a plus), and strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
  • Control and adjust knob speed as required.
  • Maintaining equipment and machinery so they can operate safely.
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
  • Training and overseeing other or new employees on low-speed lines.
  • Maintaining the understanding of operating procedures for the line.
  • Proposing improvements to the process or machines as needed.
  • Operate line in accordance with all company Health & Safety rules.

Shifts Available
  • Night Shift 11:00pm- 7:15am
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
  • Control and adjust knob speed as required.
  • Maintaining equipment and machinery so they can operate safely.
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
  • Training and overseeing other or new employees on low-speed lines.
  • Maintaining the understanding of operating procedures for the line
  • Proposing improvements to the process or machines as needed
  • Operate line in accordance with all company Health & Safety rules.
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Maintain activity logs.02
Qualifications & Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience as a machine operator
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
  • Ability to operate machines safely with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks.
  • Ability to identify issues or problems in operations or maintenance.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina and strength
