Job Summary
The Technical Librarian, Technical Operations reports to the Director, Regulatory Compliance and Training. This position supports the compliance and effectiveness of the Technical Library within the Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the airworthiness technical library for both fleet types, the DeHavilland Dash 8 and the Embraer E195-E2.
- Act as the Administrator for all technical publications portal access.
- Conduct updates to all secondary source technical publications to ensure offline access to the most current instructions for continued airworthiness.
- Distribute MRBR amendments to the Maintenance Planning department and support controlled MRBR updates in the MRO software databases.
- Manage document control of all soft and hard copy manuals at all line maintenance bases and outstations, including CMMs and in-house task binders.
- Coordinate with Flight Operations to ensure all aircraft certificates and other regulatory documents and current Technical Operations manuals are onboard aircraft.
- Submit Annual Airworthiness Information Reports to Transport Canada.
- Manage document control of all Detailed Procedures Documents (DPDs) and Maintenance Quality (MQ) Forms.
- Participate in Airworthiness Directive, Service Bulletin, and In-House task assessment meetings for both fleet types.
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply, and promote the Company Safety Policy.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
- Experience in the aviation industry is an asset.
- Experience as a technical librarian is an asset.
- Experience with RAAS or AMOS is an asset.
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills; keen attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary airport security clearance.
- Must maintain a valid passport and be able to travel when required.
