Technical Leader - BWRX-300 Systems Integration Engineering

Job Description Summary
The BWRX-300 Systems Integration Technical Leader will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, development, and resource management of a technical team supporting GEH Nuclear. You will manage complex issues within your area of expertise, participate in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall engineering strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own and be accountable for plant integrated systems from licensing through final design, construction, and plant turnover, including requirements management, change control, and engineering activities supporting NI/TI interfaces with partners and suppliers.
  • Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts, oversee product technology decisions, and serve as the escalation point for technical issues.
  • Work across engineering teams to establish and maintain effective interdisciplinary design interfaces, resolve inter-disciplinary issues, support design reviews, and oversee plant security and cybersecurity issues.
  • Ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of products and services.
  • Plan resources and manage project/program assignments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Project Delivery, Sourcing, and Quality to align technical inputs, project requirements, and risk management.
  • Streamline and develop team processes using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Act as a technical liaison with customers, partners, and suppliers, in collaboration with Product Development and Project Delivery teams.
  • Present product strategies, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field)
  • At least 7 years of experience in a technical or engineering role
  • Professional Engineering Designation in Ontario (P.Eng.)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven people management and motivational skills
  • Master’s or PhD in an engineering or technical discipline
  • Experience managing diverse, technical engineering teams
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of regulated environments (nuclear), quality standards (NQA-1, ISO 9000), and project delivery within a matrix environment
  • Problem-solving skills and customer focus
  • Six Sigma training preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities
