Job summary

ABB is seeking a process engineer to support production process definition and optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery. You will participate in sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of new production processes and products on site in Canada.

Responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, supporting start-ups, updating process documentation for Supply Chain teams, and training maintenance and production staff.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience using CAD software in a professional environment.
• Demonstrated experience in sheet metal fabrication within a manufacturing environment - Strong Asset
• Good communication skills
• 0-2 years experience in the same role

• Preparing technical documentation regarding the process phases, related methods, and cycle times.
• Supporting production during start-ups by training indirect and direct staff.
• Ensuring that updated process and technical documentation are provided to Supply Chain Management teams to support supplier evaluations and proper supplier agreements.
• Participating in the definition of action plans, training of relevant Maintenance and Production teams, and other support activities during the internal/external process and equipment start-up.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support production process definition to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of product. Each day, you will participate in the sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products. You will also showcase your expertise by sharing cycle time data with internal teams. The work model for the role is: on site.
