Job summary

Kastech in Toronto, Canada, is seeking a Senior/Lead Technical Consultant to design, configure, develop, and implement enterprise SaaS solutions for financial institutions. The role is hybrid in Toronto, with a focus on translating banking and product requirements into scalable technical designs.

Qualifications

• Senior/Lead Technical Consultant with 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Lead) experience in enterprise SaaS for banking/financial services.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Python, J2EE, and OO design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with database systems (PostgreSQL) and data integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical workstreams across product, pricing, billing, offers, eligibility, approvals, reporting, integrations, automation and data processing.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation tasks.
• Configure, customize and develop backend, frontend, API, integration, reporting, workflow, automation, and data-processing components.
• Design and implement REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Work with file transformations, validation, reconciliation, and interface behavior.
• Troubleshoot application logic, databases, APIs, batch jobs, data flows and client systems.
• Lead technical workshops, client discussions, demos, defects, delivery checkpoints and scope clarification.
• Mentor junior team members and review technical deliverables.
• Identify risks, dependencies and technical trade-offs; escalate when needed.

Role Overview
