The Team
As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate in the successful delivery of software products within Global Business Payments Technology, supporting Payment Modernization initiatives in the Wire Payment space.
Is this role right for you?
- Facilitate collaborative solution discovery sessions using lightweight techniques such as Story Mapping.
- Decompose solutions into small, independently buildable and testable stories.
- Work closely with architects and engineers to specify, engineer, and validate stories.
- Facilitate sessions to detail acceptance criteria using practices like specification by example.
- Lead root cause analysis of defects and promote continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to review and accept completed stories and features.
- Define value and guide prioritization with the team and business representatives.
- Track projects through each phase of the lifecycle and ensure milestones are met.
- Maintain project documentation, risk trackers, and status updates.
- Support release activities and keep stakeholders informed of progress and challenges.
- Set stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively about complex problems and solutions.
- Work effectively with senior engineering managers to mitigate delivery risks.
- Engage stakeholders such as risk, legal, and audit teams as needed.
- Contribute to team productivity and morale, supporting challenging situations.
Skills and Experience
- Post-secondary education in a technology-related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
- Attention to detail in documentation, requirements, and conversations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic environments.
- Ability to work independently and in small teams.
- Technical understanding of cloud computing, REST APIs, and systems integrations.
- Experience with ISO20022 standard and banking payments, including SWIFT/Fedwire.
- Customer-oriented with quick learning ability.
- Experience with agile methodologies; Scrum Master certification is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in software development and automated testing best practices.
- Self-motivated and quality-driven, capable of navigating complex situations and multitasking.
