Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a motivated Business Analyst to work in IT Technology Projects, coordinating with business and IT partners to elicit complex technical requirements and deliver actionable solutions.

The role emphasizes data analysis, logistics planning, and post-implementation reviews to ensure patient-care focused values are integrated into IT services. Location is flexible within Alberta.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent level of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in business analysis or a related discipline (data analysis, organizational change management, project management, data visualization).
• Experience working on infrastructure projects such as O/S upgrades, migrations to cloud, hardware deployments, identity and/or cybersecurity programs.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
• Excellent facilitation and written/verbal communication skills. Experience engaging stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison among stakeholders to understand organization structure, policies and operations.
• Interpret client needs, assess requirements and identify solutions for non-standard issues.
• Contribute to strategy, workflows and delivery for assigned projects and programs.
• Perform complex data manipulation, analysis and reporting from large data sets.
