Job description

Reporting to the Safran Landing Systems (SLS) Director of IS Architecture and Cloud Factory, the Technical Architect designs the organization's technical infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud computing architecture and strategy. This role ensures that all architecture designs meet stringent compliance and governance requirements, particularly those relevant to military cybersecurity frameworks globally across SLS.

Responsibilities

• Innovate infrastructure, edge, and cloud solutions.
• Design technical blueprints and high-level / low-level designs.
• Lead teams as SME for Technical Architecture and participate in Agile Squads.
• Partner with IT Operations, Applications, Information Security, and Compliance teams.
• Assess ROI and manage cost forecasting in designs.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and policies (e.g., CMMC, NIST, ANSSI) and incorporate these requirements into designs.
• Pitch innovative technical infrastructure solutions.
• Bridge business requirements with IS / IT Architecture solutions.
• Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure the “As-built” aligns with “As-designed”.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.

Required Skills / Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience as Technical / Cloud Architect focusing on AWS solutions.
• Expertise in interpreting and applying compliance frameworks such as NIST.
• Experience in IS / IT Audit and Risk Management.
• Certification in Cybersecurity, IS Audit, or related IS Risk / Governance is advantageous.
• Experience in large Manufacturing organizations is a plus.
• Experience with edge computing and hybrid cloud / on-premise design.
• Ability to monitor and evaluate IT solutions for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Stay updated on IT industry trends and identify innovation opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of modern security architectures including SD-WAN, CASB, SASE, and NG Firewall technologies.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, including JIRA Kanban.
• Solid technical knowledge in operating systems, data centers, edge computing, IaaC, networking, and cybersecurity.
• Experience with legacy IT systems and cloud security.
• Ability to mentor and coach global operations and teams.
• Ability to build relationships with LOBs, IS Centers of Competency, and Safran Central IS.
• Strong team collaboration skills within a global domain lead environment.
• Engage effectively with business stakeholders for requirements gathering and updates.
• Design and implement solutions addressing business challenges.
• Proven business analysis skills, including stakeholder management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
