Job Summary

Reporting to the Safran Landing Systems (SLS) Director of IS Architecture and Cloud Factory, the Technical Architect designs the organization's technical infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud computing architecture and strategy. This role ensures that all architecture designs meet stringent compliance and governance requirements, particularly those relevant to military cybersecurity frameworks globally across SLS.

Responsibilities

1. Innovate infrastructure, edge, and cloud solutions.
2. Design technical blueprints and high-level/low-level designs.
3. Lead teams as SME for Technical Architecture and participate in Agile Squads.
4. Partner with IT Operations, Applications, Information Security, and Compliance teams.
5. Assess ROI and manage cost forecasting in designs.
6. Extensive expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and policies (e.g., CMMC, NIST, ANSSI) and incorporating the requirements of these frameworks in the design.
7. Pitch innovative technical infrastructure solutions.
8. Bridge business requirements with IS/IT Architecture solutions.
9. Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
10. Ensure the “As-built” is in line with “As-designed”.
11. Manage multiple projects in parallel.

Required Skills/Experience

1. Minimum 5 years' experience as Technical/Cloud Architect focusing on AWS solutions.
2. Expert experience in interpreting and applying compliance frameworks such as NIST.
3. Expert in IS/IT Audit and Risk Management.
4. Certification in Cybersecurity, IS Audit, or other IS Risk/Governance is an asset.
5. Experience in a large Manufacturing organization is an asset.
6. Experience with edge computing and hybrid cloud/on-premise design.
7. Monitor and evaluate IT solutions for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
8. Stay updated on IT industry trends and identify opportunities for innovation.
9. Strong knowledge of modern security architectures including SD-WAN, CASB, SASE, and other NG Firewall technologies.
10. Experience with Agile project management methodology including JIRA Kanban.
11. Strong technical acumen in operating systems, data center, edge computing, IaaC, networking, and cybersecurity.
12. Experience with legacy IT systems and cloud security expertise.
