Job summary

TransDiff JDH Peterbilt in Saint-Georges, Canada is seeking a customer-facing service advisor for our repair shop. You will greet customers, gather details, open work orders, and clearly explain repairs, costs, and turnaround times to ensure smooth communication with the shop.

A strong focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence is essential. The role requires a DEP in sales consulting or heavy-duty vehicle mechanics and experience as a technical advisor or similar.

Qualifications

• DEP in sales consulting or heavy-duty vehicle mechanics (heavy trucks, construction equipment, parts sales, or similar).
• Experience as a technical advisor or in a similar role.
• Genuine passion for the trucking industry.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and gather information about vehicle problems or maintenance needs.
• Open and complete work orders accurately.
• Clearly explain recommended repairs, estimated costs, and turnaround times.
• Facilitate communication between customers and the shop.
• Plan and coordinate work based on priorities and availability.
• Track ongoing repairs and keep customers informed of progress.
• Obtain the necessary authorizations before performing additional work.
• Advise customers on preventive maintenance and anticipated repairs.
• Handle difficult situations and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Verify that the work performed meets standards before delivering the vehicle.
• Prepare invoices and explain the details to customers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Comply with company policies and health and safety standards.

• A vocational diploma (DEP) in sales consulting or heavy-duty vehicle mechanics (heavy trucks, construction equipment, parts sales, or similar).
• Experience as a technical advisor or in a similar role.
