Job description

The Vancouver Board of Education (VSB) welcomes applications for the position of:

Secondary Technical Studies Teachers (Woodwork, Metalwork, etc.)

Type: Continuing Full-Time with Benefits (1.0 FTE)

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Education
  • A diploma from a recognized institute (e.g., BCIT, VCC, OCC) in technical studies such as Drafting, Woodwork, Metalwork, Electronics, or Auto Mechanics is required
  • Completion of a teaching practicum in technical education
  • Membership in or eligibility for membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)
  • Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service

    • Recent Graduates: Final Practicum Reports
    • Experienced Teachers: Recent Teaching Evaluation (not lesson observations) within the past 8 years

  • For Recent Graduates: Faculty Advisor, School Advisor(s), Principal/Vice Principal, or your most recent employer
  • For Experienced Teachers: Current Principal, Vice Principal, or previous Administrator(s)
