Job summary

City of Toronto seeks a Manager, Category Management & Strategic Sourcing to lead a team of procurement professionals. You will drive enterprise-wide technology and other category strategies, coach staff, and oversee high-value procurement initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will develop sourcing strategies, manage RFX processes, and deliver value through improvements in governance, risk, and performance across the division.

Qualifications

• Extensive managerial experience in technology procurement (software, hardware, SaaS, cloud, IT services).
• SCMP designation and/or equivalent considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach procurement professionals to drive strategic sourcing.
• Oversee enterprise-wide technology and other category strategies.
• Develop and execute RFX, category plans, budgets, and implementation schedules.
• Negotiate high-value commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Build strong relationships with internal clients, suppliers, and partners.
