Job summary

SII Canada is seeking a technical leader to guide delivery teams on a strategic Guidewire platform transformation, ensuring scalable, secure, and high‑performing solutions aligned with business objectives.

You will mentor developers, collaborate with analysts and architects, and drive design, delivery, testing, and operational excellence across the project lifecycle in an Agile environment. The role requires hands-on expertise with Guidewire, Gosu, Java, REST/ SOAP and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Eight+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Six+ years with the Guidewire platform.
• Three+ years in a technical leadership, lead developer or application architecture role.
• Guidewire ACE certification.
• Experience delivering complex Guidewire solutions.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, XML and JSON services.
• Strong proficiency with Guidewire, Gosu and Java.
• Understanding of cloud environments and application architectures.
• Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and source control tools.
• Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance industry.

As part of a strategic digital transformation initiative within the insurance industry, we are seeking a technical leader to join a development team responsible for the evolution and optimization of a Guidewire platform. The selected candidate will play a key role in providing technical leadership to delivery teams and will act as a trusted advisor to various stakeholders in designing and implementing high-performing, scalable and secure solutions aligned with business objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with development teams, business analysts, architects, quality specialists and business stakeholders to support technology initiatives, ensure solution quality and contribute to the advancement of development best practices.

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
• Guidewire ACE certification.
• Expertise delivering complex Guidewire solutions.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, XML and JSON services.
• Strong proficiency with Guidewire, Gosu and Java.
• Solid understanding of application architectures, integrations and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD practices and source code management tools.
• Knowledge of the Property & Casualty Insurance industry.
