Job summary

Beacon Software is seeking a senior Python and TypeScript engineer to own a mature B2B SaaS platform. You will lead architecture, product roadmap, and AI-driven improvements, operating as a team of one with strong automation focus.

Expect to own deployment, security, cost management, and vendor interactions while delivering end-to-end value on the platform. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Senior Python and TypeScript engineer with immediate ownership of a large, mature codebase.
• Strong generalist who can move across web, data, infra and AI.
• Deep AWS and Kubernetes experience with production Postgres.
• Experience shipping production AI and multi-tenant systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical and product roadmap in partnership with leadership and customers.
• Set architecture, ensure security, data modeling, performance and release discipline.
• Ship AI features from plan to production with guardrails and safe usage.
• Operate as a single-engineer team, prioritizing ruthlessly and automating away toil.
• Harden the codebase, implement trunk-based development and robust CI/CD.
• Manage operating costs and vendor relationships with engineering judgment.
• Be the technical face of the business and communicate clearly to stakeholders.
