Job summary

Integra in Harrow, Ontario is seeking Tech I – Mechanical Assembly to assemble fabricated parts into large subassemblies, test and calibrate to meet tolerances, and follow engineered drawings.

You will operate material handling equipment, use hand and power tools, and participate in safety protocols while supporting shipping and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Ability to lift 30–50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret drawings.

• Follow technical instructions and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Maintain tools used to create products.
• May travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assemble fabricated parts to large or heavy subassemblies and complete units.
• Operate material handling devices and lifts (pallet jacks, scissor lifts, mobile cranes).
• Fit, test, and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and specs.
• Use basic hand and power tools (wrenches, pliers, drills, impacts).
• Read and understand engineered drawings to assemble units per specs.
• Work as part of a subgroup or individually as required.
• Use a propane torch to apply shrink wrap prior to shipping.
• Build shipping pallets as needed.
• Follow workplace safety protocols and proper tool usage.
• Maintain a focus on meeting customer requirements and expectations.
• Other duties as assigned

The Opportunity

Tech I – Mechanical Assembly is responsible for assembling fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units, testing and calibrating parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications.

What you will do?

• Accurately assemble fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units.
• Operate material handling devices and lifts including pallet jacks, scissor lifts, mobile floor cranes, etc.
• Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Uses basic hand and power tools including wrenches, pliers, drills, and impacts.
• Read and understand engineered drawings to assemble units per the correct specifications.
• May work as part of a subgroup or as an individual – depending on the task.
• Use a propane hand torch to apply shrink wrap material to product prior to shipping.
• Build shipping pallets as required.
• Perform workplace safety protocols, including proper tool usage, lifting techniques, and hazard identification.
• Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.

Starting rate of pay: $22.00/hour
