Job summary

Gitch Sportswear seeks a Team Sales & Design Specialist in Toronto to own the customer experience from inquiry to order. You’ll create professional mockups, apply logos and colors, and guide customers through customization options.

Ideal candidates have Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop skills, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple orders with accuracy while collaborating with production and sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer experience from initial conversation to completed order.
• Respond to inbound inquiries from teams, coaches, managers, and organizations.
• Communicate with customers by phone, email and online to understand needs.
• Help customers select jerseys, apparel, colours, styles and customization options.
• Create and modify customer mockups using Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop.
• Apply team logos, colours, player names, numbers and other design elements.
• Present mockups and handle revisions.
• Prepare quotes and follow up with prospective customers.
• Build relationships and move opportunities from inquiry to order.
• Confirm quantities, sizing, names, numbers, logos and customization details.
• Enter approved orders into the ordering system and review before production.
• Coordinate with production and operations teams as needed.
• Keep customers informed throughout the sales process.
• Follow up on open opportunities and add-on products.

What You'll Do

You’ll own the customer experience from the initial conversation through to the completed order.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to inbound inquiries from teams, coaches, managers and organizations
• Speaking with customers by phone, email and online to understand their needs
• Helping customers select jerseys, apparel, colours, styles and customization options
• Creating and modifying customer mockups using Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop
• Applying team logos, colours, player names, numbers and other design elements
• Presenting mockups and making customer-requested revisions
• Preparing quotes and following up with prospective customers
• Building relationships and moving opportunities from inquiry to order
• Confirming quantities, sizing, names, numbers, logos and customization details
• Entering approved orders accurately into our ordering system
• Reviewing orders carefully before they are submitted to production
• Coordinating with our production and operations teams when required
• Keeping customers informed throughout the sales and ordering process
• Following up on open opportunities and outstanding approvals
• Identifying opportunities to add additional team apparel, hats and other products to an order

What We’re Looking For

You don't need to be a senior graphic designer. You do need to be comfortable taking an existing template and quickly turning a customer's idea into a professional-looking mockup.
The ideal candidate has:

• Experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Photoshop
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence speaking with customers on the phone
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• The ability to manage multiple customers and orders simultaneously
• A willingness to follow up and ask for the sale
• Comfort learning new software and order-management systems
• The ability to work independently while collaborating with production and sales teams
• Willing to learn product knowledge and new technology applications as required.

You'll sit at the centre of the Gitch customer experience.
Customer → You → Design/Approval → Order → Production
You'll often be the primary person the customer deals with, which means you'll play an important role in how they experience the Gitch brand.

The Person We're Looking For

You're part salesperson, part designer and part problem-solver.
You can talk to a hockey coach about what they want, jump into Adobe and mock it up, make a few revisions, get the customer excited about the finished product and then make sure every detail of the order is correct before it goes into production.
Most importantly, you take ownership.
When a customer says, “This is what we're thinking…”, you're the person who helps turn that idea into something their team will be excited to wear.
