Qualifications

• Fluent English is required.
• Minimum secondary school graduation certificate.
• Training will be provided to selected candidates.
• Valid driver's licence (Class 1 or A) required.
• Candidate must be flexible.
• Candidate should have good judgemental skills.
• Candidate should be reliable.
• Candidate should be a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform roadside emergency repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee vehicle aspects.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel usage.
• Tarps cargo and ensure cargo safety and security.
