Basic Function
Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, is seeking a full-time Team Leader for our Warehouse and Packaging Operations. Reporting to the Director of GSC Manufacturing Operations, the Team Leader, Packaging & Warehouse Operations, is a key member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team. The individual’s expertise in Packaging and Warehousing best practices will be vital in achieving Global Supply Chain’s goals in safety, quality, service, and cost. This role involves developing the Manufacturing Business Plan, Capital Budget, and Key Performance Measures, with direct supervision of Packaging and Warehouse Operations in Mississauga.
Job Duties
- Ensure all Packaging and Warehouse operations are conducted safely.
- Foster a safety culture that emphasizes hazard identification, behavior-based safety programs, and mutual care.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and company safety procedures, in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
- Provide leadership, strategic direction, and priorities for packaging and warehouse operations, overseeing both salaried and hourly staff in Edmonton & Mississauga.
- Manage proprietary warehouse operations in Mississauga (National Warehouse).
- Demonstrate strong Non-Authoritative Leadership (NAL) skills, promoting teamwork and empowerment.
- Align team efforts with HFC’s Core Values.
- Monitor expenses and lead continuous improvement initiatives for equipment and processes.
- Manage relationships, costs, dispatching, and performance of third-party carriers and rail services across Western Canada.
- Oversee dispatching and performance of third-party package carriers in Mississauga.
- Optimize and improve cost-effectiveness of PCLI’s packaging and warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with PCLI’s management systems, including ISO 9001, 14001, and IATF 16949.
- Participate as a member of the Joint Health and Safety team.
Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (preferably in a unionized environment).
- Background in manufacturing or logistics and distribution.
- Experience leading operational teams.
Education Level
- Post-secondary education in Technical, Business, or Logistics fields preferred; however, a combination of education and experience will be considered.

- Manage relationships with third-party carriers servicing Western Canada.
Work Conditions
- Primarily office work with exposure to packaging, blending, and warehouse facilities.
- Periods of operational stress and incident response.
- Up to 20% travel within North America.
- Daily on-site presence required.
