Job summary

Desjardins Group in Lévis, Canada, is seeking a team leader to provide management support, coordinate unit activities, and guide a professional team. You will monitor progress, drive engagement, and help shape talent development while ensuring a positive, high-performing work environment.

This role requires strong analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the line of business. You will interact with stakeholders across fields, manage budgets, and contribute to achieving targets on time and on

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of French is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in English due to duties and interactions.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • On-site presence required 4 days/week, and 5 days/week during the summer period.

  • Help determine your unit’s service offer and ensure your projects and activities are planned and executed.
  • Meet targets on time and on budget and manage results, performance, quality and client/partner satisfaction.
  • Help develop training and skills development strategies and action plans for team members.
  • Help resolve complaints and problems in accordance with the organization’s practices.
  • Play a non-decision-making role in hiring, performance management, discipline, and skills development.
  • Manage the budget.

Job description

As team leader, you provide management support for the team. You coordinate your unit’s activities, action plans and initiatives. You coach and guide a team composed primarily of professionals, assign initiatives and activities, and regularly monitor progress. You support talent development and employee engagement by creating a positive, motivating work environment where everyone’s contribution is valued. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You have functional authority over the team and manage individual performance. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields.

More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Help determine your unit’s service offer and ensure your projects and activities are planned and executed
  • Meet targets on time and on budget and manage results, performance, quality and client/partner satisfaction
  • Help develop training and skills development strategies and action plans for team members
  • Help resolve complaints and problems in accordance with the organization’s practices
  • Play a non-decision-making role in hiring, performance management, discipline, and skills development.

What you bring to the table

Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

Available for occasional local travel

Available to work on-site 4 days per week and 5 days per week during the summer period (mid-June to early September)

Available to work occasionally in the evenings or on weekends for special events

Available to work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
