About the role

The Team Lead is a customer facing position that must ensure product delivery takes place on a timely basis following all established safety procedures while taking a proactive approach that is focused on safe vehicle & site operation and product handling procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operations of the site office which includes oversight/responsibility of one to two direct report.

What you will be doing
  • Perform safety pre/post trip inspections on truck and equipment to company safety standards
  • Ensure the cleanliness of Orica vehicles at all times, inside and out.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 45-50 lbs. frequently in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to push/pull 50-250 lbs. frequently in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Must be able to perform frequent reaching over the shoulder, waist level, and from the floor.
  • Ability to use a dolly and/ or power jack to deliver the product to customers while loading and unloading the truck with the product and adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Complete fully and accurately all necessary paperwork in compliance with company procedures, and government regulations.
  • Deliver product to scheduled customers within established routes in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Ability to maneuver on the road and on customer property in a safe manner.
  • Ability to familiarize with relevant Orica products and their associated unique handling characteristics.
  • Assist with incoming stock and rotate inventory as required.
  • Compile shipping paperwork for road freight .
What you will bring
  • Class 3 Driver's liense
  • Clean Driver's abstract
  • Minimum 2yrs commercial tandem straight truck experience both on and off road
  • Proficient in MS Office with emphasis on Excel and Outlook.
