Job summary

RPMGlobal in Canada seeks a Team Leader, Construction Services for a site-based role in Yellowknife. You will lead a team managing construction projects, professional services and contracts, ensuring compliance with policies and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Relocation assistance may be provided; IPA allowances for Yellowknife employees are available. Strong leadership, risk management and client-partner relationship skills are essential for success in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: college diploma in engineering, architecture or related field with five years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent.
  • Experience leading teams and managing contracts.
  • Knowledge of project, contract and risk management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team managing construction, professional services and service contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, and DCC contract management policies and processes.
  • Solve complex problems within delegated authority.
  • Facilitate contract-related coordination and communications between stakeholders (e.g. contractors, consultants, Client-Partners).
  • Promote and manage business development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client Partners and/or stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality standards are met, in line with corporate and Client-Partner expectations.
  • Manage risk
  • Perform human resources functions (e.g. coach, supervise, mentor, plan and allocate resources, and manage performance).
  • Other duties as assigned

**DCC employees working in Yellowknife are eligible for the applicable Isolated Post Allowance (IPA) established by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat.**

For employees with dependents, per year;

  • Environment Allowance: $3,858
  • Living Cost Differential: $8,730
  • Fuel and Utilities Differential: $7,375
  • Total Annual IPA: $19,963

For employees without dependents, per year;

  • Environment Allowance: $2,315
  • Living Cost Differential: $5,238
  • Fuel and Utilities Differential: $4,425
  • Total Annual IPA: $11,978

The Team Leader, Construction Services, ensures the quality of service delivery within the service line at a site with a small to medium-sized construction program. The incumbent ensures compliance with service line policies and procedures, and manages contract-related risks. The incumbent leads a team of professionals and manages the human resources responsibilities for the team. The incumbent also manages the Client-Partner relationship. The incumbent develops creative solutions and ensures the team is focused on collaboration, and quality and timeliness of deliverables.
