Job summary

Riedel Communications Canada Inc. is seeking a Teamlead Software Development to guide a multidisciplinary, hybrid team in delivering next-gen video processing software.

You will balance leadership with hands-on technical work, drive modern engineering practices, and advocate professional growth across the team. You will partner with product managers and stakeholders to refine requirements, ensure feasibility, and deliver clearly defined features in a complex broadcast environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a software engineer on large-scale development projects (10–20 person-years)
• Bachelor’s or Master in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Experience with cloud/microservices and international R&D is a plus
• Optional: degree in a management discipline

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower a hybrid team of developers to deliver high-quality software.
• Contribute technically about 50% of the time (architecture, design reviews, code reviews).
• Coordinate releases and manage risks using modern Agile/Scrum methods.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and other R&D groups to ensure smooth delivery.
• Support talent planning, mentoring, and performance development.
