Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of pension systems and relevant legislation.
  • Prior experience supervising a team is an asset.

About The Role

We are seeking a Team Lead, Quality Assurance to lead testing strategy and process improvement within our pension administration teams. This role is ideal for a seasoned QA professional with deep expertise in pension systems and a passion for mentoring others.

As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will shape and execute testing frameworks, support audit and control activities, and champion continuous improvement. You’ll also act as a mentor and backup to the QA Manager, helping to evolve our QA practice and team capabilities.

Please Note: We are currently seeking a candidate to fill an 18-month contract opportunity.

As The Newest Member Of Our Team, You’ll

  • Lead and mentor the QA team, overseeing daily operations, setting priorities, resolving issues, and providing coaching and structured feedback to support team development.
  • Develop and maintain long-term testing strategies aligned with operational goals.
  • Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles and defect resolution.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics such as test coverage and defect trends.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on pension administration systems and tools.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with plan text and legislation.
  • Communicate complex system issues and enhancements clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Liaises with project managers, software engineering teams, and operational teams to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Support audit and control activities by ensuring accurate documentation and process adherence.

To Succeed, You Bring

  • A college diploma or university degree; CEBS, PPAC, or CBP designation (or in progress) is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in MEPP or public sector pension administration.
  • Strong understanding of pension systems, plan texts, and relevant legislation.
  • Proven experience in QA testing protocols and defect analysis.
  • Prior experience supervising the day-to-day operations of a team is an asset.
  • Advanced analytical and mathematical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
