Shift Schedule: Saturday to Wednesday – Weekend shift 12:00pm-8:00pm & Weekday shift 3:00pm-11:00pm

Summary

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Team Lead oversees warehouse operations including order picking, replenishment, shipping, receiving, and cycle counts. The role supports the supervisor in ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards by warehouse team members.

Responsibilities
  • Perform multiple warehouse tasks such as receiving, order picking, replenishment, cycle counts, and shipping to meet daily operational goals and customer service standards.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure proper movement and handling of materials.
  • Provide training, motivation, and support to team members, promoting safety, efficiency, and standard procedures.
  • Support onboarding and on-the-job training for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse operating procedures and escalate issues to the supervisor as needed.
  • Lead daily shift briefings, address team concerns, and foster communication.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist with implementation initiatives.
  • Serve as the technical expert for workflow processes and RF scanner operations.
  • Promptly address RF IT issues, including opening support tickets and following up.
  • Promote teamwork through effective communication.
  • Assist in monitoring productivity and quality metrics.
  • Complete and review the Team Lead Daily Shift Report with the supervisor.
  • Work multiple shifts during peak periods or as needed for coverage.
  • Oversee shift operations in the supervisor’s absence.
Experience
  • At least 3 years of warehouse experience operating MHE with a strong safety record.
  • Experience with RF-based Warehouse Management Systems, preferably Red Prairie.

Education
  • Secondary school diploma preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.
  • Willingness to participate in training programs.
  • College diploma in Logistics Management is an asset.
Certifications
  • Forklift Certification from a recognized provider. Experience with Raymond Reach, Dock Stocker, Counterbalance, or Walkie equipment is preferred (site-specific).
